You’ll be highly recommended against not getting pregnant again and again but like the above poster said, now one can control your body!
My aunt had 5. It’s more about you and your body’s ability rather than a strict cut off. If you are fit, you allow 18m-2y between babies, your uterus hasn’t thinned and genetically you don’t have issues with scarring that causes issues than you can keep going until they say it’s no longer safe.
Thank you ladies x
NHS dropped the limit on c-sections in 2022 and now they account for about 35% of births and that statistic is increasing, with some hospitals having a 50% c section rate. I’m a student midwife and feel like we’re in a transition where it’s becoming a more common and more accessible birth, whether emergency or elective, and the healthcare system with adapt to this and find safe ways to perform more and more cesareans x
not sure on limits but i know someone that has had 5 x
There’s so set limit as if you get pregnant again they obviously can’t refuse you one 🙈 but I think the general consensus is 3 is “safe” but honestly depends on your body! I had an emergency c section with my first then a VBAC with my second 🥰
My mum had 4. If you need one they can't deny you it
My mother in law had 6 c sections no complications with any of them, as long as you leave a good space between them for body to heal properly I can’t see their being an issue, everyone’s body have different capabilities x
There's no limit, but it's highly advised that you don't have more than three. I would research into this, the issues can be high risk from bleeding to placenta previa, uterine, bladder and bowel injury. Although Everybody is different, every c-section creates bands of scar tissue in the area, which causes some of the issues above. I would certainly look at all the risks before making any informed choice. X
One of the nurses who did my csection, had 5
I have had 2 so far x
I know someone who had 4. But I've had two and the obstetrician recommended me to have my tubes tied as they don't recommend more than 2 really xxx
Nobody can force you to stop having children at the end of the day. I have a friend who’s had 4 c sections but that’s the most I know of.
