Let’s get it on the books

I asked for an elective at 36 weeks, they booked me in for 40+2 weeks

Mine is booked for 28th December already. It’s my second baby though, so I got my date at my 24w appointment. First baby I got my date at 32w. It all depends on your hospital, like how far they know diaries for staff and theatres. My hospital has its Christmas rotas already so I was the first in the diary for the day.

So they booked it at 36weeks?

I had mine booked at 36 weeks at a hospital visit… little man decided he was coming at 37 weeks x

I’m having mine a week before my due date. I’m due October 29th my c section is October 22nd

With my daughter they gave me my date at my 37 week appointment. This time I got it at my 32w appointment because it was a repeat section and for other reasons we chose a second section earlier on.

39 weeks on the dot, 7 days before due date

I’m due on November 9th schedule for November 6th 39 weeks

Depends on the Dr. A lot won't schedule until your 35+ weeks. Mine scheduled when I was 28 weeks because she's highly sought after and books quickly. Typically you'll be booked for surgery sometime after 39w

2 weeks

Mine was scheduled for Aug 9th when I would have been 39+3, I went into labor on the 4th though so it all had to be moved up. This was a small hospital so my doctor didn't put it into his books until I think maybe 32 weeks or so... and the hospital didn't confirm it and make sure it was on their schedule until a week before.... With my second we were at a larger hospital and I think I called them to confirm the day I wanted a month in advance

I found out maybe 3 weeks before the section which was exactly a week before my due date...desperate to know earlier this time as 1 week before my due date is Christmas Eve 🙃 x

i get my date at 20 w and it has to be no more than 5 days before my due date

I got my date at my first consultant appointment (consultant led) at about 16 weeks 😊 not sure how it would have worked if I wasn't consultant led to start with. Booked in for 39+2

My consultant booked mine when I had an appointment with him at 16 weeks. It's booked for 2nd January when I will be 39 weeks. I had complications with natural birth 5 years ago so it was a no brainer for c section in both mine and the consultants opinion. Most people have said that it is normal to wait till week 36 tho before your given a date.

I had mine elective one at 39+3 to avoid my birthday which was 39 weeks on the dot. They were happy to also wait and schedule it’s for 40 weeks exactly but I didn’t want to leave it that late xx

Mine was scheduled at the beginning of the third trimester to get a c-section in the 38th week

they are scheduling mine at 31 weeks for 39 weeks
