@Laura I wasn’t sure what sort of time they finished doing elective ones, I know there’s risk of being pushed back in cases of emergencies but I didn’t know if I’d be waiting until say 3pm 😅
Mine was elective and I was out and on the ward by 11:30am. I know there was some women who didn’t go in until late afternoon. But everything really does goes so fast. X
@Laura ahh okay, hope I’m not waiting too long then! Thank you 🫶
Good luck mama. You’ll do amazing! Enjoy every second X
Depends if they have an emergency or not. They had one when I had mine so was delayed and got in the theatre at 11
I had a c section at the general on Tuesday this week. I ended up going first and was in and done by about 10.30 but they had some issues getting my cannula in! Partners are now allowed to stay over but can’t sleep on the floor or bed so only option is chair. Visiting was 2 - 4pm or 6-8pm x
It depends how many people are scheduled on the same day. When I went it They put high risk first and she went in at about 9 ish. I was second and went in at about 10:30. They put you in your gown about an hour before and go through everything with you. You speak to the surgeon and the person who will giving you your spinal. (They will be with you through the whole procedure next to you giving you whatever you need and checking in). Visiting times are 12-2 and 6-8. But your partner can stay with you until 9pm. I was so nervous for mine but honestly the whole thing is amazing! If you have any questions please feel free to message me. X
