Anyone with scoliosis had a C-Section?

Not exactly the same, but I had an emergency c section and when I was having the epidural the anaesthetist told me I have it, obviously not severely and it did surprise me. I did have to have several top ups because it wasn't spreading high enough but got there eventually

Meee. They hit me in 3 different places before getting the spinal in. I was black and blue for a couple weeks. But it worked fine once they finally got it placed (and they knew I had scoliosis). My second one, I reiterated to the anesthesiologist multiple times they did me dirty the first time around. Got the tap in with one go, but took some maneuvering to get the meds centered properly. I have an S curve btw, I'm curved up by the base of my skull, and in my lower back

I have scoliosis and had a section with my daughter. I also have a Harrington rod from spinal surgery to semi correct it and they looked at my scans before they even decided what course of action to go with.. I had a spinal and had 0 issues.

I have scoliosis in my lower spine as well as the top of my spine being fused with rods and screws! I had a planned c section with spinal anaesthetic and all went very smoothly I had a very good birth experience! I had a etherises and consultant reviews opinion leading up to it but they were more than happy to go ahead with a spinal and it went perfectly! xx

Yeah I’ve had 2 c sections with it. One emergency one planned. I had to see an anaesthetist prior to surgery but all was okay with getting the spinal in it took a couple of try’s. I think it depends where the scoliosis mostly is. Mine is top and bottom like an s curve. But all went well xx

Im due in February and I’ve have had a surgery for my scoliosis I now have metal things in my back which probably won’t allow me to have the epidural, I e been told that is quite risky to have it and I will most likely have general anaesthesia

I have quite a severe scoilios- 60degrres with no surgery. I was scared about the spinal but they got it in one go and I didn’t feel a thing!! You got this.

I have an S curve, never been operated on. I met with an anaesthetist to discuss options for my November delivery. I had to take my most recent x-rays (from 2022) so he could assess where the spinal would go and they’ve been saved with my medical records so the anaesthetist on duty on the day can use my x-ray to plot where the needle needs to go on the day. I’ve been reassured this should make it as straightforward and successful as possible 🤞🏼

See that’s what I’m worried about. No one has made me meet up with any anesthesiologist. I’m supposed to have my C Section in two weeks. I mentioned my scoliosis to my OB. ( it’s not as obvious). She said to just let the anesthesiologist know before the shot. But no one had asked me for X-rays or any assessments were made. I have an S curve as well.

I have an s curve and they were able to place the spinal no issue! I told the anesthesiologist when he introduced himself in the pre-op room. He had a student with him so he talked her through how he was making adjustments when he did the placement. It was pretty cool. And they didn’t have X-rays of my spine. It was still a non-issue, though my curve is fairly mild all things considered

I had a scheduled c section partly because of my scoliosis and another reason, the anaesthetist looked at my back and it was perfect for me. I have 2 curves one at the top one at the bottom so was so scared it would mess up. I thought it would’ve taken longer to do it but it took at of 10 seconds.

I’ve had had a surgery for my scoliosis 15 years ago and I’m scared about c-section Thank goodness I had some x-rays before I fall pregnant
