@Kodi see I KNEW that nurse was full of shit-but that was our first baby so I didn’t know how to tell her to fuck off while I’m in the middle of trying to figure out what I’m doing.
Not sure about that exact technique. But seeing a pelvic health physical therapist could definitely help with this. That’s how I pushed very effectively with my first. They teach you how to relax and open up your pelvic floor and how to breath properly so that baby moves smoothly down. I had an epidural as well but I was very thankful to have a smooth pain free birth. I laughed and had a really nice time through the entire pushing stage. So you could look into them! They also can help huge with preparing for birth in general, any pains you have during pregnancy, and also post partum.
Can confirm I did not hold my breath for every push. 🤣
