@Samantha California
@Samantha he qualifies for the paid family leave, but his job is not protected, and he could be fired if he does that one. He doesn't qualify for the CFRA because he hasn't worked there a full 12 months.
@Courtney he can’t be fired. His company isn’t being honest.
@Courtney it’s still under FMLA
Also let’s talk about how shitty of a company they are to even try to deny that. 🙄😩😡
@Samantha Yes, That's what I'm saying I can't believe this company is really denying him, He's a hard worker and shows up everyday except when we had covid. His last job he was only there 10 months before I had my first daughter and they approved him, He only took 2 weeks off though and was right back to work but I also had alot more help then and my son wasn't in school yet either. This just makes things more stressful and harder for me because I have no help with the other kiddos this time around.
Almost sounds like my situation. I’m pregnant with baby #2 due in December (29 weeks + 3 days) and they’re not giving me maternity pay because I have to be with them for 6-1 year and I’ve been at this job over 6 months now. So I’m applying through the state. My husband is able to get paternity leave from his current job which is good.
Same here, only 6 weeks for pregnancy disability through California and then any PTO I’d like to use since I’m a 6 weeks away from full FMLA qualifications. The US overall is so backwards when it comes to maternity leave. Like people that breed dogs aren’t allowed to sell them before 8-10 weeks because it’s considered cruel to separate them earlier than that from their mother. 🫠 and as actual humans we don’t get that regard in the law
What state are you in?
