Those are all correct but a private room at a cost is normally given to someone with an infection/ COVID or personal reasons need to be in a room off the ward. They are limited on those rooms but worth asking if you want one when there. The cost last year was £100 a night.
I asked in April when I gave birth and was told around £300-£400 per night but my midwife said you will have more help on the ward.
@Maria I was put in a private NHS room due to having an infection at that moment, and I definitely felt isolated.
I was just on the wards and got induced, was told my husband had to leave at night but he didn’t. He got to stay 24/7 on antenatal, labour & postnatal wards xx But yes he was meant to sleep in chair, although on postnatal ward he got in the bed next to me x
