Somewhere around 18mo I think? I did it because he was getting up in the night and waddling around in his sleeping bag and I didn’t feel it was safe (I know I could have just got ones with arms and legs) and he loved my pillow whenever he was in our bed. I felt happy to introduce it (knew the risks) and he took to it absolutely fine. Then around 2 we ditched the toddler bed and moved him into a double bed, so he wasn’t using a child’s pillow/duvet from then onwards, he was just using normal adult bedding.

My son’s 20months and we’ve just ordered him one. The main reason we’ve done it is because of how cold it’s been getting at night now. The majority of sets say they’re for 12months+, I think that’s because toddler duvets are a lot thinner and more breathable than adult ones☺️

Around her 2nd bday I think. I only did it when I felt comfortable with knowing she can move it off herself

I introduced a pillow and duvet to my 22 month old last week. Just get a "special" toddler set. Think I paid £15 on amazon for 1 pillow and a 4.5 tog duvet (comes as a set) yes I go in every now and again to check he's okay with it and set the video monitor up again. I introduced it as its getting colder and I thought the blanket wouldn't keep him warm. And he took to it really well he sleeps better since having them so I just think he's sleeping better as he's comfy. And I thought he was ready because when he gets "tangled" in his blanket he moves it to get free so I had no "fear" of him getting tangled in the duvet as I knew he would move it away. I tucked the duvet under the mattress down the bottom and one side so the duvet can't move but him moving about in his sleep.

A pillow at about 14 months she got a duvet at 19 months when she transitioned to a bed because she no longer fit in her cot.

We moved to a duvet at 15 months and a pillow at 2.5 years. The advice we got was that they should be able to pull the covers back onto themselves in the night else you will be up and down constantly when they kick them off and get cold and can’t cover themselves up again.

We’ve had a pillow since about 15 months (now going on 17 months) and she loves it, but some nights she won’t use it, it’s just in her cot. She does very well with sleeping bags still so I’m reluctant to bring in a duvet and change anything while she sleeps well. She’s in a cot bed but still as a cot, but means it’s bigger than a normal cot so I’m in no rush to transition to the bed and have a duvet. Whenever it feels right, but most say 12m+

We introduced a pillow first (probably around 2) but put it under her sheet then introduced toddler covers (more like a blanket) a couple of months later, moved to normal pillow and covers. When she was over two and a half just tuck the bottom and one side in, but that’s more to keep in place

I introduced pillow and duvet before 1
