Can anyone explain hot shot method to me please?
Normally I mix everything in my Nuby and we’re good to go. However, tomorrow is my 40th birthday party and it will be our first time away from home as a family for the night. Obviously, I don’t want to drag my prep machine to the hotel so I need help with figuring out the hot shot method so I can alternate between 2 nubys and not need to sterilise them until I can put them in the cold water Milton in the room.
She has 6 oz bottles. How do I do this? We will be taking a litre thermos and 2 Nuby coolers flasks because she eats 3-6oz every 2.5 hours.

If you're ever unsure of how much water to do for how much formula measure the prep machines hot shot cus it's basically the same method of using boiling hot water to kill bacteria and then the cool water to make it instantly drinkable. I hate measuring using the inside of the nuby cus the steam makes it hard to read and if you use MAM bottles the lid has measurement so I will do like 180ml in the bottle, then pour 50ml into the lid, pour the rest into the nuby to cool and then mix the water from the lid and formula in the bottle x
@Saran Yeah, I use MAM bottles. Prep machine usually puts 2oz and then tops up. I’ll do some test runs today for her bottles to make sure I get it right xx

Pour 6oz of boiled water in your bottle, then pour 4oz of that into the Nuby (there’s measurements inside). Put formula into your bottle with boiled water and swirl. Give Nuby a good shake and pour this back into the bottle. Swirl the bottle to mix in the cooled water. Test on wrist and if all okay, you are good to go!
