I had the same as Agata and epsom salt baths help
I'm 4 weeks pp today and it's feeling much better
I had an episiotomy and only started getting the pressure this week (3 weeks postpartum) I thought trying to be more active would help but if anything it’s making it worse 🥲 agree with Epsom salt baths though, I’ve been having one every night and it massively helps. Also spraying witch hazel on a pad seems to soothe down there!
I had a second degree tear too.. baby born on the 13th so just over three weeks ago. I still feel quite uncomfortable and worry about going to the toilet as that is where I get the pressure feeling. I looked at my stitches and was shocked at what I saw which I think has been the worst bit for me, but like you, midwife checked and said everything is healing as it should. I have to be careful how I sit up in bed or on the sofa as certain angles can feel like it’s all pulling a bit. You’re not alone 🤍 Hope you recover soon xx
Also, I’m booked in to see the pelvic floor physio next week after a chat with the midwife, might be something you want to look into just to help clear your mind and get all questions answered and some support x
Thank you everyone!! This really reassures me, I almost wanted the midwife to find something wrong so they could medicate me further as im so uncomfy! I will definetly ask about the pelvic floor specialist thank you!! I’m exactly the same, going to the toilet is awful I think it’s the empty hole it just makes me feel like im going to fall out into it 😅 my legs shake xxx
I’m almost 3 weeks PP with a 2nd degree internal tear I had an infection initially where it was so painful I could not sit down (antibiotics a have helped massively) Now I just feel like if I move a certain way or when I go to the toilet it’s a weird pressure/pulling so I’ve been trying not to strain and doing pelvic floor exercises to try and help xx
Awww sorry to hear that happened to you ! I didn’t have the same thing, but episiotomy with my first baby and I also felt that pressure pain. It does get better, I can’t remember when exactly.
