Kendamil Goat Infant Formula

My supply is little to none. I’m barely getting 8 oz during the day when I’m away from my daughter. She is eating 5 oz per bottle 3 times during the day then I BF when I get home and she seems satisfied but not off the bottle when we are giving 5 oz. I can’t keep up to give her what she is needing so we decided to start doing a formula bottle at night so I could pump and get the extra to use that to make sure she has enough for daycare. 3- 5oz bottles. I know it’s a culture shock to their tummies normally from going BF/BM to formula so I’m trying to be patient but want to make sure I don’t need to switch formulas. My LO has started pooping way more like 3 times a day vs before like 1 time every 3-4 days just being BF and getting breast milk… she has starting getting a rash as well which seems to be common from the acidity in the kendamil and she has started getting really gassy upsetting her stomach and causing her to scream cry at night. Has any other momma’s been through this? Can you share what helped? Should I switch formula or wait a week to see if she becomes accustomed to it?? I’m sooo lost 😟

I also tried the regular kind as a supplement in the beginning but it didn’t seem to mesh well with my baby’s stomach. Gassiness and she was very fussy at night as well.

How old is your baby? we transferred to formula and our baby because super super constipated and uncomfortable. Since he was almost 7mo we had him drink water and eat figs to help which is did but we ended up switching to By Heart and that has helped tremendously.

@Kae goodness! What did you end up switching to?

@Sarah 7 months and yes I started her on water and tried everything and she wouldn’t poop but now she does. I’m going to try By Heart!

got** not because lol

I switched to the organic kendamil cows milk formula at around 8 months, I straight swapped a bottle and he got constipated and very uncomfortable very quickly. So then I went back to just BM for 3-4 days, then added formula an Oz at a time per bottle so he could get used to it, then by 11.5 months he was fully on formula. So it took a few months, but he was comfortable which was the main thing for me. Maybe switching the formula might do the trick, but if it doesn't, I'd try ease her into it, giving plenty of water and pears/plums/prunes to help poop like you are already doing xx

We use buds goat formula and Brest milk half and half stage 2 right now 6-12 months
