Family hubs

Has anyone been to a ‘first friends’ group at one of the family hubs? What is it like? And what do they do? X

Not been to first friends but took my LO to baby fun I think it’s called since he was around 5 week old and that was good. They had sensory bits out and mats where you all sit around and then sing some nursery rhymes at the end

I'm part of the NLFAMILY Hub. There are various things going on around north lincolnshire. https://nlfamily.northlincs.gov.uk/ their app is on there to check out all the sessions they do. They provide snack and juice halfway through a session. They do tea and toast, cooking on a Thursday. It's a really good group, my 1yr old has come on so much, we all get on really well and always welcome new people x

I went years ago with my now 8 year old... it was friendly, lots of toys and books and other people to talk to 😊

I went with my first, it was quiet due to it being just as covid restrictions lifted but it was lovely. Similar age babies, mums of all different ages and numbers of children, good support from staff, mats and sensory toys, opportunities to chat with nice ice breakers and seasonal activities - we made the cutest mothers day cards with hand/foot prints
