Cot to bed transition

My little one who is a good sleeper has learned to climb out of her cot. So we have taken the side off and put a guard up instead so she doesn’t fall out but can still get in/out. She now needs us to stay in room with her till she goes to sleep. Previous she would put herself to sleep happily. She’s also getting up early so not sleeping so long. Any advice or reassurance it’s just an adjustment phase and she will go back to normal? Thanks 🙂

We haven’t changed to a bed yet but think we’ve started the 3 year sleep regression, and I need to stay with my son until he falls asleep, so could be a combination of regression and bed change, hopefully gets easier soon ❤️

It’s an adjustment phase, we moved to a bed at 18 months due to climbing, and it took a few weeks to go back to mostly independent sleep like he had been. We gradually moved from sitting in bed,to beside the bed, to halfway across the room, to by the door and then outside the door over 2/3 weeks I believe. It will settle

This happened to us when we changed it’s a big adjustment took us a good few weeks . It’s just a phase x

When we transitioned our daughter at Christmas she started waking earlier and earlier so we got a smart bulb in her room and set a timer. She’s not allowed out her room in the morning until 7am she now naturally sleeps until 7 again.
