Travel system for 22month age gap

I thinkd there has been some conversations about the strollers etc. but I was looking for some feedback and experiences who has a similar age gap. So originally i was thinking just to have a buggy board attached to the pram and when the newborn is here. But then I saw some people are buying proper double stroller sets etc. is it neccessary for that age? Mind you my toddler will be going to nursery part time and if we plan to go somewhere for a family day id imagine me and my husband would go together, or I thought maybe i would carry my newborn in a sling in tricky situations where i need my toddler in a stroller. Do i really need it? I hate bulky items and i know myself i would be trying to find other options. What did everyone else do with similar age gap?

I also have a 22 month age gap and we have a double stroller. Tbh, we use it loads. My toddler doesn't always like to go in it but it is brill for long days. Places like the zoo or a festival, as well as walks, I wouldn't trust my toddler by the road if there is just me and the kids

@Charlotte did you buy a aide by side one or one in front of the other one? Me and my hisband think that the sside by side one will be too wide to fit through any doors đź«

I have a 20 month age gap and didnt bother. I drive so dont rely on a buggy much and my eldest much prefers walking when we’re out and about or is in a trolley if we’re shopping, so we havent really used a buggy for him since he has been able to walk so to me it just wasnt worth the extra money. We kept our original travel system from our eldest and use that for our newborn. I did consider buying a buggy board but we honestly wouldn’t have used it much so again didn’t bother but i think depending on how often your eldest uses a buggy normally, a buggy board is the better option x
