2 months from first steps to confident walking/ preferred walking over crawling
My little one took his first steps mid August and we literally run after him now 🤣
Gradually, would do a few steps then back to crawling, a couple of weeks later would do more steps but if he fell would crawl the rest of the way and I’d say within a month was confident enough to just walk and stand back up and walk after falling xx
A couple of weeks. It can vary, every child is different. Just keep encouraging him, hold both his hands and have him walk with you and he’ll gradually find his balance.
For us it was very fast. He took about 5 steps one day, a week later he was mostly walking and only crawled when he wanted to be fast (albeit his walk was very wobbly), two weeks later no more crawling, after a month he started running. They're all different but you might kind of guess from his personality/ attitude. For my boy, as soon as he learns something new, he drops the old thing and gets super focused on whatever it is he learnt now. So we usually see a fast progress once he starts a new skill.
I don’t think there is a set time as each baby is different. For us it was about 1.5 months for full on walking
Couple of days , he’s been on the move for about 2 months now !
It was very gradual, first week or so was doing 5/6 steps then She was able to walk ok, like across the room type thing after a couple of weeks, but usually chose crawling mostly for speed I think then I guess a monthish after the first steps she’d stopped crawling entirely and was walking very confidently.
