Get her food, alot of snacks too! I was a hungry animal after giving birth
Witch hazel pads for that hemmariod shes probably gonna have
Gatorade. I was so dehydrated. I drank about 3 over the 8hr of labour and about 2 after. (My husband drank some too so I'm not sure). Plus I don't know how much water.
Get her favourite takeaway ordered after she gives birth 🙌🏽 but for hospital bag, basic hygiene products and flip flops for the hospital shower! Maybe some soothing pads because it might be painful if her milk comes in and she won't be using it? All the best!
I second the adult diapers. They were MUCH better than what the hospital provided. You don’t need to bring much for baby, the hospital provides it. Outfits you want her in? Her baby book and ink pad to get her little hands and feet.
You could make a cute little basket. Chocolates, comfy sweatpants, blanket, pads, nipple pad things, maybe even a shooter for when she’s done
She's having a planned C-section...what is all needed for that? ...
But thank you ladies so much this was a huge help!🫶🏻🫶🏻
@Jazzmen I had a planned c section. It's all the same stuff. I didn't have any fancy "c section healing products"
Thank you! I wasn't sure if she needed specific things for it I just want to make sure shes comfortable
@Jazzmen I had a C-section and got a wound vac as part of my closure. I highly recommend it. It not only sped up the recovery process, but I didn’t have to worry about cleaning the incision site. Advocate for that. Bring heating pads. It was the only way I could get sleep after. Find a FIRM pillow she can use as counter pressure for her core. Bring extra pillows and blankets to prop her legs up to help with swelling. The hospital beds don’t elevate your feet and her feet will be SWOLLEN with all the fluids.
Yay I’m so excited for you, congrats!💕 For yourself I’d suggest the basics, cozy clothes, slippers, basic hygiene. For your surrogate I’d get a pack of adult diapers, tucks pads, the Frida mom healing foam was my FAVORITE for the healing process as well as the dermaplast spray. Maybe some of her favorite snacks and if she doesn’t have the essentials hygiene wise like shampoo conditioner etc that might be helpful too! Also hair clips/scrunchies, chapstick things like that🫶🏼
