When I had my twins first birthday I asked for cotton on kids or Kmart vouchers for the twins so then I could periodically buy clothes and practical things for them in the new year ☺️
We opened a bank account for our daughter on her 1st birthday and invited guests to deposit whatever they'd spend on gift. It was very well received, and she's now 3.5yo we still have friends and family deposit for Xmas and bdays
If they want to get ‘things’ rather than vouchers/money: - outdoor toys like slide, toddler swing, sandpit, paddling pool - beach/swim stuff like swimsuits, towels, beach toys, water wings, hat - jewelry box and/or some special jewelry for when she’s older - money box, nightlight, room decor like pictures or cushions - books! My dad built my son a rainbow rocker for his first birthday and he loved it and used it heaps for years. They’re a bit expensive so could maybe be a group gift if that’s something that interests you? Possum play couch could be another group present.
A learning tower and a kids table and chairs were gifted to our daughter from family and she uses them every day!
These are great ideas, I also have no idea.
I found most people that asked what we wanted didn’t listen and got their own things anyway 😂
@Colby yeah like we had people try but a lot went off the list to try and get something unique.. well we totally didn't need more ride ons or more trains 🤦♀️
Vouchers for baby shops so you can get clothes for her? I’ll be asking for vouchers or cash into her bank account 🥰
