Vent: Her mom is a bad liar

My step kids mom lies a lot! She will lie about all kinds of shit even when it’s blatantly obvious. She consistently lies about drop offs and pickups. Saying she’s there or the kid is ready then no one is awake or there when we go. She lies about the kids behavior, going back and forth about things being an issue with the kid. She lied about the school she enrolled the kid in, she changed it last second so she didn’t have to do transportation. This time she lied about turning in the required documents for the child to stay in school, even after we got a notice saying if they aren’t turned in by this date she will be unenrolled. Went to her drs to get them today and they told us no one has even called about these forms ( which is what she told us after we asked her if we needed to get them or if she had them). Like you could’ve easily said no plz get them. Instead you risked letting your child get kicked out of school. She kept saying she had them, she called to get new ones, she has them, blah blah blah. Had we not gone today because we had a hunch she was lying since she hadn’t given them to us this week, she’d be unenrolled from school Monday.

Please say you have all of this documented whether through text or whatever

@courtney Thankfully we do have it documented very well.

Take it court, immediately. It’s neglect and safety issue. Not knowing where the kid will be, getting them kicked out of school, what else is she lying about??

@courtney We’re in the process of filing now actually for a long list of reasons. Turns out she’s been lying about a lot. We’re trying to wait for the cps report to come in before filing to know what all we have against her but either way it’s enough to take primary away from her.

I’m so sorry y’all are going through this and I’m so proud of you for putting the kids first!

@courtney thanks, I’m hoping the court process won’t take too long honestly wondering if we can file emergency custody.

Personally I think you have the grounds for it, but it’s up to the judge. I’d say if CPS is involved it’s more likely.

@courtney I’m pretty sure we do as well but it’s always iffy what a judge will think.
