Anyone else's nearly 3 year old doing this?

Our little guy who turns 3 in late November has been staying up super late every night for weeks now. Just got him to go back to bed, it 10:10 pm now and his bed times at 7. He doesn't nap during the day either. Hasn't since he was maybe a year and a half. He wake up shortly after I put him down for bed super groggy. Then once he's awake he's his normal, sweet chipper self until he's ready to go back to bed. It's not really bugging me too much as I'm enjoying the time with him and he is willing to try sleeping again, but I'm kinda wondering why he's doing this. Anyone else almost 3 year old been doing this lately too?

Mine will be 3 mid November. I take the blame for her late nights, when I was pregnant I called her my baby bat lol. She wakes up around 8 everyday. Some days she naps. Some she doesn’t. Yesterday she had a 10 minute car nap around 2. Was awake till after 10. Also, it doesn’t really matter when she wakes up she usually wants to nap around 4. Yesterday was a nice surprise but didn’t change bedtime 🫠. Even the days she doesn’t nap the earliest she goes to sleep is 9:30ish. She stays active. Loves playing outside. I’ve just given up lol. Thankfully I’m a SAHM so although the late bedtimes can be exhausting I know they’re nowhere near as difficult for working moms. Talk to his pediatrician. I take a magnesium drink at night that helps me relax. There’s also a lotion by Three Sheeps, it’s an organic lotion with magnesium and lavender. It didn’t help my little bat, but I’ve heard good things and I used the same brand when I was pregnant for leg cramps.

Mine has always been like this, he is very active, but he always wants to take a nap. I tried to take away his afternoon nap, but he gets very irritable. I thought he would get better. I spoke to the pediatrician and she said he would change, but he hasn't. If he goes to bed early, he complains that he is hungry or says he wants to poop. He always makes an excuse and we end up going to bed late, as usual. For a month now, sometimes, when I see that he is very active and won't go to sleep, when 9:30 comes around, I give him half a dose of children's melatonin and he sleeps a little better.

My guy doesn't nap, wakes between 6-7 naturally and we can usually (with a lot of bribing) can get him to bed around 9-930 but usually I let him go. He sleeps better at night if I let him decide when he's tired. Last 2 nights it was 10 or a bit after. Hes a very low sleep needs kid
