Not a medical person by any means but I was told by my consultant when I asked that they don’t recommend them at all because it’s better for your ab muscles to work and get stronger when healing rather than be contained by a band and relying on it x
In the hospital now & they put one on me for a little extra support & plan to send me home with it for at least a few days
You shouldn’t.
@Stacy thank you ❤️ I read somewhere that you had to wait two weeks in the UK but thank you anyway xx
They gave me one in the hospital, but I didn't use it. Everything healed just fine. I am almost 7 weeks pp.
I believe you can but my tummy was so tender and sore I didn’t want anything touching it
They put one on me while I was in the hospital for when I was up and walking around and I’d take it off at night so I could rebuild some strength then and while I was sleeping too. I used it in the car also because the seatbelt is very uncomfortable on the incision
I didn’t. My surgeon said it’s actually more likely to do damage and keep my core weak.
My GP said the same about not recommending it as Skye and Sarah said above.
I couldnt imagine wearing one it took me ages to get back into my jeans and the feeling of them on my belly was so sore
Following as this is one of my questions too x
