Retained Placenta

I had retained placenta when I had my son 2 years ago and was removed in the theatre following a spinal. Just wondering if anybody who had retained placenta with their 1st delivery had a similar situation with their next. I really don't know how to avoid it if I were to consider having another. Still traumatised from my 1st delivery

Hopefully wont happen to you this time 🤞 Are you opting for a natural birth or c section? I was offered c section as an option for next time

Im going for natural. I wasn’t offered a c section so that’s interesting! I’ll definitely be having an epidural straight away though considering the possibility of going to theatre anyway.

I didnt have an epidural last time and regretted it a lot last time. Deffo guna opt for it next time too right away loool

Just thought I’d let you know that I didn’t have a retained placenta this time. I was very surprised! Had my epidural and it was a much nicer experience all round!
