@Rosie oh really! Yeah but she’s not doing it gently so it doesn’t look very soothing 🫣 but you never know! Xx
I took my daughter to the doctors because of this, it turned out she had an ear infection she has had another since and I only took her back as the head hitting started again x
@Charlotte ooo thank you for this I will keep an eye on her 😥 xx
@Naomi to be honest knowing what I do now and knowing the pattern with my daughter I would definitely take her to the doctors to be on the safe side x
We’re in a phase of smacking herself in the head, and head butting EVERYTHING! the walls, the floor, cupboards, doors, everything in sight! She does it pretty hard and then laughs! Her most recent is hitting herself in the head with a tambourine x
@Daniella omg the head butting! It’s been such a worry! Mine split my lip when he head butted me in the middle of the night xx
Usually hitting the head softly is for soothing because it creates a rhythm, hitting it hard is a way that they deal with frustration or anger as they don’t know how else to express those emotions
Mines being doing this for a few months now. I googled it as you do and it said it was a soothing thing 🤷♀️ like hitting the top of her head? X
