My niece is 5 and still can't wipe. My 3.5 year old tries to but not very successfully. He's still in pull ups at night, and I can't see that changing any time soon as his nappy is very full in the morning. It's hormonal anyway so they'll all do it at different times
My daughter has recently had a dry nappy at night as realised she was wetting it in the morning before she got dressed. As for wiping we are way off, prompt her but after nursery if she has been there she always has dirty pants. (She goes to a school nursery now)
Being dry at night is a hormonal thing, it can’t be trained so they’ll all get it at different times. As for wiping after a poo, I’ve read that they arms aren’t physically long enough until closer to age 5/6
My friends little girl is 6 and still struggles to wipe herself completely clean after a poo and is also wet at night. Apparently night wetting doesn't usually get explored by a GP until they are over the age of 8 as it's usually hormone related so no drama there.
My daughter has been dry at night since last December but that was a complete shock to us. I thought it would be much later. As far as wiping, she tries but can’t really do it yet. Following as I’m intrigued as to other people’s experiences xxx
