Teething and eating

So my daughter normally eats cereal mixed with a fruit puree for breakfast every morning. Past 2 days she wakes up fine and ready but won’t eat unless it’s a bottle. Her top gums are super swollen so I know she’s teething but I’m worried. Normal? When her bottom teeth were coming in she was still eating as normal.

I wouldn't worry to much my pediatrician said food is just fun till they are a year. Some days my son will eat 3 full servings meals and others he'll eat 2 bites and be done.

@Emily she has never had a problem eating. I mean this girl eats everything. I just wanted to know can teething cause this much pain to where they won’t eat?

@Rosemary McMurray have you given her any baby Tylenol that might help if it's a pain problem. Also you could try giving her cold food so it feels nice. We had those things that look like a bink but has holes in it so you can put food in for them. We'd freeze his food and let him chew it like a Popsicle. A few days that's the only way he'd eat.

Mine gets a bottle right when she wakes up and then solid breakfast an hour later. It’s more important for them to get formula or breastmilk so i wouldn’t worry about it. Super normal during teething! Agree with offering cold stuff and Tylenol. The core of a pineapple is good for them to gnaw on while teething!

My little man struggled way more with teething for the upper teeth than the first two on the bottom. He wouldn’t eat his purees for a couple weeks. We just did plenty of milk.

@Courtney the only thing she’ll take cold is a pacifier. I tried about everything cold/frozen. She won’t take it she just refuses it.

@Courtney she usually wants breakfast right away as soon as she wakes up.

@Emily she hates anything cold but a pacifier I’ve put in the freezer.
