@Mish 5 days, I’ll try the cold compress I just don’t like walking around w those huge ice packs yk
@Brenna you could try sitting on a ring shaped cushion as well, but in all honesty they can hurt for a good week or two, mine unfortunately took over 6 weeks to heal and feel nearly normal. I would definitely take painkillers as you need them x
It took me 2 weeks to feel better i was too scared and it was too cold as far as i was warm the pain was less thank god but don't worry it will be better
My hubby ran out and brought me reusable perineal ice packs after I had an episiotomy and they were the best thing. Inflatable donut ring. You could try a warm bath, are you using warm or cool water? Change pads more frequently if you’re using them. Stay on top of painkillers. I don’t know if there’s anything else I did that I can remember
I used the peri with an antibacterial soap then emu oil and Frida ice packs with this healing foam on top
With my first, the knot tied with the stitches was rubbing my skin and it made pain worse for me, peaked at like 2 weeks and slowly got better
I had a lot of pain with mine for around 6/8 weeks. I tore and had to be cut so stitching was horrible! I booked GP check ups when I got concerned just for a professional to tell me it was ok as it was making me anxious - I must of been seen about 3/4 times just in the first 6 weeks. I use to put pads in the freezer with water on and pop them in my underwear, and my GP told me (TMI!) where possible to sit with no underwear/pads to air the area - I use to sit/lay on a towel for this early on due to the bleeding, but I found this was when I was at my most comfortable.
How long ago did you give birth? You could try a cold compress or paracetamol x
