My boy 1 next week can say mum, mama, dad, dada, cat, meow, that, what, all done, car-broom, beep, hi, hey, bye bye, bing, bear, rahh(for lion), nana However my twins who are now 2.5 years started saying words and babbles at around 6 months then had a speech regression around 8 months then didn't talk for almost a year, we signed instead. Now they just don't shut up🤣 The worst thing you can do is compare with other babies, your little one will talk when they are ready, all you can do is encourage and repeat all the time x
My boy is 1 next Sunday. Can say; Mama, dada, sissy (for sister), cat, meow, woof, moo, snorts for pig, roar, quack, oh no, uh oh, wow, hello, hiya, brrm (for car) yuck, eww, eat, yeah, no no no, row row (for row row row your boat) clap (for if your happy and you know it) aww, poo He can’t walk
My girl says duck, hat, yep, banana, mama & dada… very random what she sticks too and the rest is her own language. She is very vocal but still isn’t walking yet, she was very behind even with crawling so I’m hoping she gets there soon.
Literally hardly anything at all. He says "dada" but I don't think he actually knows what it means and he sort of just repeats it over and over. He does babble a lot though so I'm trying not to worry too much just yet. He seems more ahead in his walking as he's toddling around unaided a lot now
Mum mama dad dada and that’s it 😊 they’re all so so different! x
My little boy is one next week and he can say “mam” “daddy” “more” and “nana” the rest is just babble x
1 already we have lots of sounds and mimicking but no actual words! Try not to worry, give it a year and a bit and we won't be able to keep them quiet. 😊
Most babies start to say their first word/s around 1 year old. It’s worth remembering that, as with anything, highlights are often what we see online (including this app!). I guarantee there a lot of babies (mine included) who haven’t said anything beyond babbling (she can say mumma/dadda etc but doesn’t say them at us specifically). Don’t get yourself worked up comparing to others! Your baby is perfectly well within normal developmental expectations at this age ❤️
Nothing really. He says bird and it used to be in context but now he calls quite a few things a bird. He sometimes says dog in context. And it sounds like he says cheese (favourite food) but not sure. He babbles mama and dada but doesn’t call us that. Does your little one gesture? So my little one points and tries to say words or points at things he wants. I’m trying not to worry but I am! X
My son is 1 next week and he doesn’t say much at all, still only babbles really. He tries to copy works but only manages the first couple letters. He only say no clearly and the name of our cat. He can imitate some animal sounds, and say aaawww when he gives us a cuddle. X
All the babbling from our daughter. She's constantly babbling and clearly knows what she's saying, but we have no clue 😂 She does say dada, daddy, dad, mama, mum, lala, baba and that's about it
Mine is 1 next Sunday and says car (relatively clearly), da (meaning done, Dan, dog or yes depending on context), boo (book), tow (tower), ban (banana), be (bear), mo (more), dada and mam so more sounds to mean words in context, he’s also mostly stopped babbling since he’s started doing this. Nothing is clear yet though and this is only within the last month really. He also roars whenever he sees a picture of a lion or tiger. No other animal noises yet 🤷♀️
My little girl has just turned 1 at the beginning of October. She says: Mummy, Daddy, Nanny, Katie (Auntie), ta, all gone, hiya, hello, bye, Roscoe (our dog), Rufus (our cat), uh oh, dodie, na night, duggee, love you, baby/baba, cat, doggy. And tries to repeat pretty much any word we ask. Her speech is very clear but working in childcare I know this is very uncommon and she probably is saying more words than average and to say them clearly aswell xx
@Sarah wow that’s amazing! have you been working with her? what helped? xx

@Sarah I worked in childcare too & my kids have always been early speakers xx
Hardly any clear words and my son was one on 27th September. I don’t remember my first having clear words at this age and he was chatter box so I’m not worried. In the last week he’s just started coping when I say “say tractor” but he babbles with lots of other sounds. And understands what I say.
