Bouncing eyes
Hey,
Baby girl is 7 weeks old and I’ve noticed today that her eyes have been bouncing up and down. This isn’t all the time and as of yet, there’s no pattern to when it’s happening (that I’ve noticed). It’s like her eyes are a pair of bouncy balls.
Has anyone else seen this?
I’m really trying not to panic as she is fine in every other way and also trying to stay off google!

@Hannah no, while she is awake
So it’s likely nystagmus, it can be completely normal in new borns. However, I would mention it to GP as may need further investigation to rule things out x
@Hannah thank you. She’s 7 weeks old and I’ve just read up about nystagmus. She’s at the doctor for her 8 week check on Tuesday so will definitely speak to the GP about it. It scared me to see it as she hasn’t done it before but she’s also doing it again today. The fact she’s normal within herself has helped put my mind at ease (yesterday I was close to calling 111 as I was thinking the worst!) but thank you for replying x
