If you aren’t having a problem with size one, there’s no rush to go to size 2. My 15 week old is still using size 0 and finishes a bottle in 5 minutes
I am already holding him upright and holding the bottle horizontal and beeping after each 30ml. He is taking 20-30mins to finish a bottle and has started to push the teat to the side of this mouth and chew on it. He will also push the bottle away after a few sips but then cry for it back. I'm not sure if these are signs to size up?
I think they do get really fussy around this age because there’s so much to see/do x
@Mish same here 15 week on 0 ! Doesn’t want any higher !
If you’re sure you need to up the teat size (he doesn’t have to move up unless he’s struggling with 1’s), then I would make sure you do it at a time when he’s not over hungry, try and time it before so he doesn’t just hop on and start guzzling, really pace the feed so sit him upright and make sure the bottle is horizontal and that milk is just covering the hole which should help manage the flow. It’ll take getting used to as it’s quite a jump between. My boy is 17 weeks and the only reason he is on size 2 is because we thicken his milk 🙂 it also might be worth burping between feeds whilst he is getting used to it as it’s likely he will take in more air whilst getting used to a faster flow x
