Working out!

Hey ladies! I’m 35 weeks pregnant with my first and still physically active (walks, barre and yoga workouts). When did you stop working out? Did you continue up until labor?

I played pickleball until the day before I gave birth

I worked until week 36, I'm a full time school janitor so I was on my feet pretty much the whole time. The last 3 weeks I was on a kind of "light duty" where I just washed the classroom furniture - we had started summer break. That was a bit easier. Then when I went on maternity leave I took it a bit easy.

@Gigi amazing!! 💪🏽

@Melissa love that. Listening to your body!

I work at a country club, director of events. I walk 10,000 steps a day. I went to work the day I was induced 😂😂

I did yoga and lots of walks all the way up until I gave birth. I worked as a special ed teacher up until 36 weeks, and those last few weeks I did about a 3 mile hike once a week just so I could get some more steps in 😄 I had a pretty smooth pregnancy so I felt great doing all that, but I also made sure to listen to my body and rest on the days I needed to. Do what feels good and right for you.

Think I was still doing a couple of home workouts up until like 36/37 weeks

I’m a lifter, and barbell coach. I trained up to week 37. I squatted and deadlifted the day before I went into labour. Video is week 33

Worked out up until 2 days before labour at 40 weeks

Someone in my family continued working out and went to the gym for a quick workout on her way to the hospital to be induced🤷🏽‍♀️guess it depends on how you feel and don’t over do it x

@Chrissy I love this!!

@Bianca yes definitely listening to our body is key. I never push it but I act on my intuition.

Bodies are strong! But it depends a little what they’ve become adapted to over time.

As long as you aren't doing more than what you were before being pregnant and not high risk, there is no need to stop exercising.

I did it on days I had energy and when I didn’t I didn’t push myself so I exercised till the end. And took it up again 8w pp. working out is great for strengthening core and pelvic floor which gets weakened through pregnancy and helps immensely with healing PP. My dance teacher also taught us until the day she popped
