@Charley Thankyou.. That's what I've been doing, but when she was discharged from midwifery care they said no more than 4 hours, whereas the HV said demand feed so it's a bit confusing especially as she won't get weighed again until her 6 week check x
Once they're over birth weight and as long as they have no medical issues then they will always tell you when they're hungry! So just carry on with responsive feeding 😊

I think they said this when you were discharged was because they assumed baby would likely loose a bit of weight, but as @Charley mentioned, once they’re steadily gaining weight, go by their lead. My first dropped 15% weight in the first 5 days, so we fed her every 2 hours until she gained it all back x
If she's over her birth weight and having wet and dirty nappies, then just follow her lead, she'll tell you when she's hungry!
