I think by week 4 pp I stopped thinking ow or had a twinge when sitting up

About 6 weeks for me, still not normal but not difficult

I could sit up without help from discharge, without pain from 7 days when I finished my meds but mine was not an emergency section. Just felt like muscle tenderness like when on my period.

5 weeks to be mostly painless but 12 weeks for the twinges to stop

I’m 2 weeks in and painless now, not struggled for a couple days x

@Helen when you say twinges where you feeling a burning sensation on the section sight with left of right ?

@Jen I'd get twinges of pain like someone had just prodded me with a knife and then it would go. I still get the burning sensation across most of my scar at 28 weeks pp

Immediately but just slowly

@Helen really this is a shock for me to be honest with my son I had an unplanned section but the recovery was smooth. Second time round I had a planned a section I am 7 days post op and can’t believe the pain that I’m in. The pain sometimes is so bad I have to sit down. Scar is not infected everything is fine it’s just the burning sensation I get on the sides a which is driving me mad. Hoping that it goes away. Thank you for sharing ❤️

A few weeks after my emergency section i had minimal pain sitting up but i still asked for help until about 3/4 weeks and sometimes now at 7weeks i ask if someone is nearby just to avoid overdoing it 🫶🏻

@Jen this is similar to me, I’m 8 days and still in a lot of pain but no infection etc, it’s just sore :(

I was able to sit up and move about almost straight away after the epidural wore off. I did get a burning sensation as I sat up though which only lasted a split second and for a couple of weeks x
