My notes says my son has tongue tie and that I was made aware of it but nobody told me about it x
My niece and nephew both had them and were very late talkers. My daughter has a lip tie (which I had never heard of) I don't know it there's more cases of it, just maybe more of it being reported?
@Steph when did they start talking as my son only says a few words
Both of my daughters (4 and 2) had it. I was told by the nurse who diagnosed it that they are seeing more cases and they are starting to look into whether it is caused by more mums taking folic acid. Obviously, this is needed to prevent other conditions, so is still needed, but it will be interesting to see whether this does prove true.
@Kayleigh they didn't start saying words until 2y+ My girl is 18m and only makes noises. She get's really frustrated at not talking because she understands what we're saying but for some reason can't repeat it back 😪
