Reverse cycle

I am really struggling with my baby as he will not feed during the day and only will at night! It's near impossible to feed him of I am out and about. I am breastfeeding him during the day and night but we have a formula bottle for breakfast and just before sleeping. I don't know what to do and I am thinking just moving to formula completely now.

His weight and wet nappies are fine

His looking had he been doing that

Mine is exclusively formula and they are reverse cycled....it's taken me a while to try and switch him, I'd say we are now half and half. I reduced the amount of Oz I gave at night and offer more in the day x

This exact thing is happening to me. My little boy is on formula and will barely feed during the day but is having me up every 1.5-2 hours to feed during the night. Feel like I’m at my limit as he is also majorly fighting naps in the day🫠 He also will not drink more than 4oz’s at a time. Tried speaking to a couple different health visitors and the doctor but they either aren’t that helpful or suggest things I’ve already tried😖

@Imogen it's exhausting isn't it! I considered just holding out and making him really hungry for the day but couldn't bare to leave him hungry. I have found that the more he naps in the day the more feeds I can get in as he's "sleepy". The more he's awake then that's daytime feeding out the window!

@Megan ok, so in pure desperation I came up with a new idea (after a huge cry haha). My little boy is currently on teat size 2 round the clock. So, I’ve reduced him to 1’s at night and also reduced him from 4oz’s to 3oz’s during the night. So he has to work a bit harder to get it and he gets less. I then plan to decrease each night feed to 2oz’s in a few days time. Then during the day I’m trying him on teat size 3 so it’s super easy for him and also trying to get him up to 5oz’s each feed (he has always been a little 4oz grazer no matter what I do🫠) We had a slightly better night last night and I’m hoping if I can slowly decrease the volume and ease of feeding at night and increase the day we can switch it around🤞🏼🤞🏼 Hope this maybe helps you x
