Anyone else feeling pressure to potty train?

My son is showing zero signs of readyness and worried to force him into potty training if he’s not ready will be worse then waiting.

Yes here the same. Not sure if I need to wait or really start the training...

No signs and not starting. We offer a potty sometimes and he says no.

Yes, we are going to try over a long weekend in November but if it doesn’t work not going to force it

My little boy had no signs either but we tried and he clocked it pretty quick! Sometimes they’ll surprise you, just don’t force it, they’ll be accidents but we learnt if you react to the accident then they’ll be more reluctant to try the potty we just said “it’s ok, accident, try again”💜💙

To be honest I’ve been feeling the pressure all along the way from breast feeding, sleep training, BLW and the potty training- there’s an INSANE amount of noise around these developments. My daughter didn’t show me signs of readiness but I thought I’d give it a try anyway since the NHS website recommends to start around 2. (I know it’s just a guide) One day i just said ‘no nappies now!’ and stuck her on the potty with a few books and toys, even the TV. She’s picked it up well even though she’s still having accidents. Then again, if she hadn’t responded well I’d stop and try again later. I don’t see the point in the unnecessary stress if they’re not ready.

Yeah my son refuses to sit on the potty no matter what I try 🤷🏼‍♀️

Try the ladder steps up to the big toilet! My little boy used them Upstairs x

Yeah I have those too

I actually felt so much pressure from reading a handout from the health visitor. Basically said to crack on even if they weren’t showing many signs. So that’s what I did… day 6 now. Still having accidents. He’s not resisting which is when I said I would stop. However I am due our second in two weeks and since starting my anxiety has hit the roof!!!! We’re going to give it another week I think and see how he is.
