Potty training

For those who have successfully potty trained, how long did it take? It's been 8 days for my daughter. She goes on the potty every hourish if I take her (most of the time) but isn't telling me she needs and is still having some accidents. Struggling with poos too. Any advice would be appreciated.

I thought I'd cracked it didn't poo in his nappy for 2 months then started doing it again I was goin through so much wet washing so I started putting pants under his pull ups so he can feel the wet and he doesn't like it so started telling me again worth a try on day 3 with no accidents so far

This sounds normal. My boy was the exact same. Poo’s took about 2 weeks to perfect, took him every 1-2 hours for about 3 weeks and 3-4 weeks in he started telling me and now tells me every time. Accidents are normal. Took us about 2 weeks to stop 1 accident a day. For them telling you, just start leaving it longer and longer between taking her. Eventually she’ll do it

Same situation here. 5 days with no nappy during days. He will wee on the potty when you remind him/make it clear we can’t do the next activity until he goes. Never got a poo on the potty though which is driving me a bit mad but hoping it clicks at some point! He wouldn’t tell me he needed a wee unless it’s just before bed and he is trying to delay 😂

Day 6 today, 3 accidents at nursery. He won’t really take himself to the potty yet but isn’t resisting. It’s absolutely crazy how hard this is 😂 trying to get through and seeing little improvements.

My little one goes away to hide when he needs a poo, so I’m here for advice too! 😂
