Chewing books?

Does anyone else’s baby just want to chew books all the time?! Mine literally bites chucks out of every book he sees/is given! It’s such a shame because I love reading books to him and want to have them readily available for him to look at whenever he wants but I find myself having to hide them because he becomes fixated with chewing and eating them and then kicks off when I take them off him 🙈 We have weekly books sent home from nursery too and he’s chewed one of those, I was mortified when I returned it!
