I was told yes you can no you can't by god knows how many people and didn't get given a set answer until I was in labour
But it's too high risk
@Caitlin okay thank you 😫
If you want to drop me a message I have a detailed account of my experience at George Eliot for my induction :) as crap as it was about the water birth it was a really positive experience overall
I was induced at George Eliot at 39 weeks and I was unable to have a water birth as they need to monitor the baby constantly. Feel free to message me if you like 😊
Didn't even end up wanting a water birth 😂 was in a room with a birthing pool but was in that much pain i didn’t want to use it didn’t even use my gas and air so proud of myself for going as natural as can be when i was induced and didn’t want to be 🤣
Congratulations🥳🥳 yeah I tried the gas and air but it annoyed me more than anything cause it barely helped and just dried my throat out so I didn't use it 🤣
@Caitlin thats exactly what it did for me wanted to throw it at someones head the midwifes kept telling me he was nearly here and it did not feel like he was still overall i did it pretty quick got induced at 2pm he was here at 3.33am x
That's amazing I'm so happy for you I went in for induction on the Monday 2pm and she wasn't born till Thursday 1136am 😂 from getting the hormone drip it was only about 6 hours though just the induction took a while for me, is everything okay with him? I know for me they said she'd be below 10th percentile her growth dropped off so she had to come out but she was born on 72nd percentile and 7lbs 14 Oz 😂
I had to be induced for the same reason and unfortunately you can't have a water birth as it's classed as high risk so they need to monitor baby especially if you have to have the oxytocin drip
