Chargers for my phone and headphones. But then like specific things you get everything you need in the hospital in the US but I really just liked having a robe and nursing bra. I could easily open it up and cover myself when needed but my stomach and things were available when they needed.
Oo yeah like said above snacks would be good. A portable charger if you’d like.
A handheld fan and a loooong charger. Girl I was boiling😭
In addition to what's already been mentioned: Slippers, hair ties, baby wipes (if your hospital doesn't provide - ours didn't), water bottle/mug with a straw so you can drink while lying down, extra drinks with electrolytes (like coconut water or sports drinks)
Snacks, bras that could hold a pump or my breast well for pumping (which I had to do in the hospital) and breastfeeding, a nice nursing gown to chill out in on the second day, a good charging cord, and a going home outfit for me and Baby. That was probably all I used from the 5 bags I packed 😆
Phone charger snacks and comfy clothes
My pjs and baby clothes
Spritz for bits. Also I had some pads that you could bend and click and it was like ice cold for the intimate area. They were amazing!
adult diapers.
A peri bottle for when going to the toilet especially if you’ve had a lot of stitches down there!
Snacks, charging wire for phone, dressing gown, hair bobbles, wet wipes and sports drinks
For during and afterwards a good water bottle with a straw is a lifesaver. For after a peri bottle, frida postpartum disposable pants, maternity pads as the hospital ones are soooo thick, a nursing bra, stuff for showering with and freshen up. A long nightgown/tshirt and a spare, snacks, charger and possible a power strip. Comfy clothes to leave in. Make sure you know how to clip your baby into the car seat and have warm safe clothing for them to travel home in
I was not able to pack bags either time but having a charger was nice and filtered water from home 🙃
My going home outfit and robe , I honestly didn’t use shit I brought. They had diapers for baby and we didn’t dress her cause it was so hot in there and we had her swaddled whole time. They also gave me postpartum stuff and I was released the day after birth anyways

@Jody Yesss I was over prepared the first time 😅😅😅 But I didn't love the mesh underwear and pads. So I packed some Depends so I'm at least comfortable for A DAY.
Perineal bottle!!!
I ordered my own cotton gown form Amazon which was amazing. Fit well and was really comfortable. I hate hospital gowns so this made it such a better experience.
A gown! The ones the hospital give you show your butt but you need to be in some kind of pantless attire as they come check to make sure you're not bleeding too much every 20 minutes.
Oh and a blanket from home. A pillow would have been nice too, the hospital's pillows and blankets are terrible.
Definitely snacks!
I didn’t need anything from home. The only thing that would have been nice is a swaddle because I couldn’t swaddle my baby tight enough so I wish I would have brought a zip up swaddle
Snacks , portable fan (rechargeable better than battery) , long phone charger cable , did i say SNACKS! Lol also, I didn't pack it but my SIL brought coloring book and uno game which came in handy for me and hubby during "down" time and after recovery. I think it was all the meds after surgery, but I could not fall asleep. As tired as I was, I just couldn't fall asleep. I colored a few pages and then I was out! Lol
@Tanisha lol I understand that , I only brought one underwear cause I wanted to save the rest for when I’m home and it worked out for me
I didn't know I was going to have an emergency C-section, nightgowns and shower supplies were a godsend. I'm in the US, you get a private room and bathroom after birth. Coffee was important! Lol
lots of lucozadeeee
@Hannah what is that?
@Shayla it's a sports drink, like gatorade
Snacks and an extra long phone charging cord! The snacks definitely held me over a couple of times while I was waiting for food and the outlets are so far away from the bed so it was nice to have a long charger.
