Trying after a Csection

I don’t have any experience myself but am always seeing others on this app say they got pregnant 4-10mths after a C-Section with no issues but again it’s individual and dependant on many factors. I’m wondering myself as I am not getting any younger and I healed very well

I was told to wait 12 months before trying again. I will be waiting this long, but that was our plan anyway

My consultant told me they can do a scan to see how healed your scar is if you fal pregnant! I was told to wait 18mths

I was advised to wait 18-24months. but we had initially planned on waiting 3yrs anyway. first month of trying and caught straight away. Had a reasonably healthy pregnancy, other than severe sickness. But scar from previous c section was absolutely fine, even had the option to go for natural birth which is what I wanted second time round. 😊 however I did get to 6cm dilated and baby started showing signs of distress so was swiftly rushed to theatre for emergency c section. my only advice really would be to make sure you have support in place, just incase you need another c section, as the healing time after another c section it took me longer, and it’s harder to rest after with toddler running round and with newborn baby.

I got pregnant the first time I had sex again

I was advised to wait 12-18 months as it can take up to a year or more to heal the inside scars

I got pregnant 4 months after my first c sec but lost it...then 2 months later fell pregnant again, I had the babas 16 months apart with no issues. I wasn't tod to wait but I know the recommended time is 18 months

I have a 10 month old and already 4 months pregnant. Emergency C section. 6 miscarriages. Under a consultant and no one has even mentioned anything about C section from previous baby. They’ve just asked if I want another one and I said yes, and that’s it. My LO will be 16 months old when next baby arrives. My first baby came 7 weeks early. Don’t put stress on yourself, if it happens it happens. There’s always ways round things.
