Potty training

So my LG (age 2) isn’t showing all the “signs” to start potty training, she knows when she’s done a wee in her nappy but that’s about it however since yesterday she has asked if she can have a potty. Is it worth getting one to see if she’s interested in trying to get potty trained since she is asking for a potty and not to use a potty if that makes sense

Its definitely worth getting one, even if its just there in her environment for her to role play with & get used to it being there/seeing one. You could role play dolly to sit on it :)

Yes definitely get one. If anything you’re just getting her comfortable with it. My daughter showed an interest in her cousins potty at 2 so we got her one. She’d just love to sit on it fully clothed and put her stuffed animals on it. As time went on she wanted to sit on it with no clothes or nappy and a few months ago she did her first wee. Al we decided to potty train but she freaked out so we held off and have began again this week and she’s smashing it ❤️

Yes definitely! My LB started showing interest in a potty at nursery always wanting to sit on it about 2/3 months ago so I bought one for home, he hasn’t bothered with it or the one at nursery since, until today! He pulled his pants down and began to try and take his nappy off so I said let’s go and sit on the potty then and he did his first ever wee, he did another one this afternoon too! He obviously just felt ready today and we will continue to encourage him to try every time he gets a nappy change! When she is ready she will let you know! X
