My baby keeps repeating words or two word sentences over and over until acknowledged. Is this normal? Like today he said “itchy back” over and over until I repeated it back to him in acknowledgment. Or he’ll see the moon in the sky or on a picture and say “ moon” over and over. Like, It’s so repetitive and I’m like ok son you only need to say it once.
Super normal
They're learning how to communicate and they've been talking for months without us understanding so when they say something and we don't acknowledge it, they think 'i must have said it wrong'. They they repeat trying to speak more clearly. When you repeat it back to them, they realize they've said it correctly and will move along.
Super annoying as well lol
But it's helpful for them so it's not so bad 😅
Definitely normal!
@J.S. love that explanation. I've been experiencing that too but you just made it make sense.
It's still super annoying sometimes lol
@J.S. Thank you so much for breaking it down to understanding better!
