Potty training!

Our daycare said to go sit them down on the potty every 20 minutes while are home just to get them comfortable and used to going. Is it a boy or girl

@Megan Baldwin we have a boy. He was brilliant at the start of the two weeks as we are off for October holidays right now I live in Scotland so to begin with he was great but now he's peeing his pants all the time I'm sitting him on the potty every 20 mins to half hour and he just gets off and pees his pants instead. He's 3 and a half

We did rewards, aiming at cheerios and etc but honestly one day it just clicked for him. I wouldn’t be over concerned boys always take longer and I had several other boy moms tell me the same

@Megan Baldwin just feels so stressful I'm so tired with lack of sleep due to being pregnant and I just don't understand why one day he'll do one thing and the next he doesn't 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m in same boat as you. 21 weeks and we tried potty training our nearly three year old last weekend. She’s used the potty loads but informally I suppose like just cos she fancies it. Anyway she said she wanted to wear her knickers so we gave it a whirl but she just wet and pooed herself all day so I’ve reverted back to nappies for a bit as don’t have the energy right now. Just want to try crack it before baby 2 arrives! Good luck!

@Rachel see I want to put him back in nappies but he's been doing so well!! So some days he listens some days he doesn't. It is stressful and tiring doing it while pregnant. How far along are you? I'm 20+2 and we just wanted our boy to be fully established so we don't have the stress of our son and newborn in nappies. Aw bless her maybe she not quite ready yet?

It’s so hard isn’t it. I’m exactly the same, want her out of nappies before the new one comes! I def think she’s ready but then equally she just refuses to sit on it. I’m 21+2 so just a week ahead of you. Feel like we’ve still got ages but it’ll creep up won’t it..!

@Rachel oh tell me about it! I think once Christmas is past with before we know it we'll be in labour 🤣 yeah sounds like she's ready but maybe she scared? My little guy does pee and poop on the potty more pooping than peeing I'd say I've had maybe 4 poop accidents in two weeks cause he's been going on the potty and I'm so proud that he's doing that but some days I'm going through 10 pairs of pants but then other days could only be 4 🤦🏻‍♀️ it's stressful
