Umm.. Did I write this?! Literally same here. My daughter is also 1yo & every time I take her to toddler groups she's hitting people in the face & I've been trying to teach her to be gentle & she does it when I say but then still hitsš¤¦š¾āāļø.. Literally made a post last week too š
My son did the same thing he just keeps hitting and laughs, honestly I was thinking maybe itās my in laws spoiling him or childminding. It really upset me today
They grow out of it. Just keep doing what youāre doing with the ākind handsā things. All kids go through the hitting stage.
Thought weād escaped this as he got to almost 2 and a half and was still an angelā¦ then some kind of switch flipped and we had 3 weeks of hell! Repetition of kind hands, no big reactions and making up a bedtime story with his comfort toy about not hitting have drastically reduced the hittingā¦ now itās only if heās overtired or when heās had a tooth cutting through that weāve experienced the hittingā¦ Good luck! X

My daughter would kick hard while changing her diaper. I just kept saying don't kick while holding her legs still. And it eventually stopped. If she's not hitting hard, it's kind of cute š It will probably just stop.
