Perhaps tried with a wash cloth and covering him with that to warm the cloths first lay one on him while you use another and warm it up, put it on and dip in water again and leather before going to wash him perhaps? Could use some little gubbins microfiber ones or cheeky Bambino. Other than that, perhaps the feeling of being on his own with being raised with water, still learning and gaining trust where may feel safest in your arms rather than baby bath. I've found sometimes just using sink and putting activity seat in without the tray holding them upright can help x
You dont have to use soap at this age
We rarely use soap and he’s 2.5 years old. If we do need to use it, we use Dr Bronner’s sensitive. We didn’t start using soap until he was at least 2.
I dont use soap in my baby's bath as he has very sensitive skin and some eczema. I have a qv wash that the doctor gave me but I only use it when he has rubbed loads of food in his hair. Maybe worth asking for that :)
My baby is 3 months and I don't use soap, no need too.
Maybe try Childs farm or something completely scent free / does he have skin issues like excema or anything? We use aveeno and always have - I wouldn’t rate Johnstones btw I’d sack that off tbh but have a look at organic stuff and see if that helps at all. Poor wee guy hope it resolves asap! You could stick to just water for a while as well, let him stop associating bath time with soap and then introducing it gradually again ? Idk just an idea
