BITING

15 month old is constantly biting and it HURTS. I can’t help but scream in pain when it happens which ends up scaring him and I feel SO bad. I of course hug him afterwards and let him know it’s not ok to bite but myyyy goodness. Please share any of your stories and tell me I’m not alone lol

my baby was HORRIBLE with biting. He just turned 15 months and has been way better about it the past couple of weeks. we taught him “kisses” so now anytime he goes to bite i say “kisses” and he does that instead. Now he pinches me instead but it’s better than the sharp little teeth😂 don’t feel bad mama it’s a human reaction. i also tell him a very stern no and walk away from him if he tries or does bite now.

Omg my girl does this too! I yell “Ouch, no!” everytime and then just get up and walk away, don’t scold or anything. Just completely disengage, any attention is seen as a positive for them. She’s kinda stopped but still forgets I don’t like that sometimes.

@Beverly yes this!!! i noticed the more i reacted the more he did it. Especially when he wants attention he does it more. He thought it was funny for the longest time😭

He grabs my hand to bite only me but daycare said he doesn’t bite anyone there

@alyssa omg ikr they just cackle afterward, I have to try my hardest not to laugh too when I’m walking away

@Brittany S my son will only bite me. Never dad lol I’m like whhhyyyyy 😂😂

Try handing them something they can bite. I bought rubber teething chews that can reach the molar area. It came in a pack of 4 too.
