Post C-section sex

I have been healing well for my C-section (3 weeks pp), I feel like I could have sex with my husband, but my midwife won’t do the IUD until 6-10 weeks. Could we use condoms? Is the risk infection? Condoms should be sterile but idk about the oil on them

They usually tell you to wait until 6 weeks. I had an emergency c section after pushing for 4 and a half hours so I was sore for at least 4 weeks but I think infection is their biggest concern.

I think because it’s better to be safe than sorry, I’d wait until the 6/7 weeks postpartum all clear for intimacy. Otherwise there could be serious problems ie injury or infection. I healed really well quickly from my c section and I totally wanted to just jump my hubbys bones that early as well but I knew it would be smarter to just be patient

I would recommend waiting until you are checked at the standard 6 weeks. Stick with acts of intimacy that don’t involve penetration for now. Though externally you may be healing well, internally may be a different story! Remember it’s a dinner plate sized wound from the placenta and it’s better safe than sorry to continue to let yourself heal fully before the “go-ahead” at your checkup!

Just be safe and wait! Give a bj instead 🤪

You have a dinner plate size wound inside of you that still needs time to heal. It is not worth the risk of infection or further damage. Let yourself heal.

Please don’t .. just wait the 6 weeks you have a huge healing wound inside of you where your placenta was

Yep it’s risk of infection. The wound where your placenta was needs to heal, that takes 6wks.

It definitely can risk infection, I did it at 2 weeks pp and was scared literally the whole time after 😭 … but I was fine but still I know they suggest wait .. regardless your gonna do what you wanna do , plenty of people do it or don’t do it , when it comes to it , it’s really your choice but I would definitely give yourself time mama !!

Idk why people come on here asking for opinions when literally every single piece of literature and medical professional says 6 weeks you shouldn’t listen to people on the internet and just wait 🙄

Why risk it
