Also, why are Pediatricians of no help? Im baffled by the lack of support.
I donât know if this is available in America (and I really hope it is!) But my little girl had s formula called SMA Alfamino - that is a formula specifically for CMPA babies an amino acid formula and Iâm 99.9% sure it doesnât contain any of what youâre looking to avoid!
I hope that helps a little.
@Amy omg thank you!!
@Khyia soo smart đ§ love this thank you!
@Renee be warned itâs a VERY thin formula and can trigger reflux issues due to how thin it is.. we tried thickeners and reflux medication :) I hope itâs available where you are and can help - it truly was magic for us!
You should be able to get a hypoallergenic formula on perscription. My nieces had one which was like that and meant for babies with lots of allergies (babies should be able to consume lactose because breast milk naturally has lactose in it even if you were dairy free, it's after 2 you naturally loose the ability if you don't consume lactose after that)
My 1st child had MSPI (Milk Soy Protein Intolerance) we used Alimentum Ready-To-Feed formula.
My son is cpma and sot. We take neocate⌠smells horrible but works!
Have you tried Ripple Kids? We have dairy sensitivity and like that one.
@Alex, great suggestion! I would be careful with Ripple if your child has multiple allergies especially peanut. Peas, chickpeas, peanuts and legumes are all in the same family. We learned the hard way. My almost 2 year old is allergic to just about everything. Formula was so hard. We took him to a nutritionist and started him on Essential Care Jr. It worked very well but was extremely expensive. Luckily, he was at a point that we were transitioning him to food. His major allergies include soy, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, gluten, fish, and oats. This formula did not have these items in it. We even learned that they will use corn starch as a binding agent and that could be a potential allergen. We tried every formula and this was the only one that worked.
We used baby's only pea protein formula.
Sprout organic formula ticks all these boxes It doesnât mix perfectly smooth though but my baby was fine with that when she had it.
Have you had baby diagnosed with a lactose intolerance? Lactose formulas are actually considered the gold standard for infants as itâs closest to breast milk.

Dad has a gluten intolerance. So were trying to eliminate that in case he has the same. Runs in family. Lactose may be the culprit. He may be lacking Lactase enzymes to break it down. Cows milk made him scream. And you know soy goes hand in hand with CMPA, so thats out. đŤ
