Milestones

Has anyone's little one achieved a milestone then not done said thing again for weeks? My son started rolling back to front a couple of weeks ago (did it 5 times in one day!) but since then, he's not done it again... Is this normal/should I be worried?

I literally googled the same thing yesterday. Mine also decided he’s not interested in rolling any more. The internet told me it’s normal. Cuz he’s learning other things he put it on pause.

@Milana That's reassuring, thank you! I don't expect him to be rolling all day but he's just not done it at all so was getting worried he'd forgotten 😄

mine did that when she first rolled! she did it a couple of days in a row then stopped for a couple weeks then went back to it all of a sudden

Same thing happened to us! Freaked me out big time.

Mine can roll, she just doesn't once she's on her belly. She also can clap, she did it for a week and has stopped now. I'm like okay you're not meant to till around 9 months so sure don't 🤣.

My little boy has done the same. He rolled from back to front first, then learnt front to back but now when he does roll front to back he moans cause he refuses to go back the other way 😂 but it's very rare he will roll atm, or he will do it when I'm not watching x

Same but with rolling the other way around. She did it again 3 times yesterday after a long time but that was it again…

I'm so glad I'm not the only one - I was thinking I'd maybe done something wrong/getting worried 😂 Thank you all so much for the reassurance!

Oh yes very common! But wait until they start practicing rolling in sleep 😂🤣 my lo did back to front non stop for a few weeks in his sleep and cried so much when he woke up from it 😅

Oh yes same thing happened with my son. I even kept track of the timeline. After the first time he did it, he next did it after 3 weeks!

My babe goes in waves all the time! He’ll consistently work on a new skill for about a week and then finds something else fascinating about himself.
