Unusual teething

My LO is 4 months and has been showing signs of teething, especially over the past few days so I’ve just rubbed my fingers across her bottom gums to relieve any pain and could feel something sharp as though a tooth is coming through, but it’s about the 3/4th tooth from the bottom centre which I thought was where it’s supposed to come through first around 6 months. Is this normal?

What are some of the symptoms

All babies are different. Both my boys had 2 teeth by 4months. My youngest has 4 at 6months with 2 trying to come through x

@Sid🌹 drooling, fussing, always looking to chew on something

@Hannah did it start with the two bottom front teeth though? I’m just a little worried because the one I can feel is further back, where the canines would be…

Yeah it was, however, some babies get them in different orders, my friends little boy got his canines first. I really wouldn't worry 😊 if you are concerned I'd speak to the health visitor xx

All babies are different, some are even born with teeth. Try bonjela, there’s one for under 6 months I’m not quite sure the age. Teething granules, anbesol, teething toys. My LO didn’t drool at all and had 2 teeth at 4 months x

@Hannah okay that’s good to know thank you! I was mainly concerned about the location they were growing

@Nisa what position did their first come through? Hers are around the canines may be a little farther back, I was expecting the bottom front first…

Aaah ok, yeah his first was one of the bottom middles. Then the next one came shortly after. But tbh the molars apparently are quite tough to come out and it can cause quite a disruption with them. If they’re coming while she’s younger it may be a blessing in disguise as they’re less aware. If you are worried about the location just check with a gp or dentist xx

Thank you she has her jabs on Tuesday, will ask then x
