Full briefs!! Ones that are probably much looser than what you currently wear as you will be quite swollen too
Very very high waisted pants or tena lady style knickers in a size up than normal.. High waisted leggings / joggers, nothing tight! Pregnancy pillow if you have one.. Supportive people around you... PAIN RELIEF! Try not to let them fob you off with paracetamol and ibuprofen push for stronger! Keep on top of them rather than waiting until you're in agony... Don't do too much, you might feel okay after a few days and think you're able to go about as normal but this usually puts you back... Hot water bottle and/or cool pack xxx
Full brief underwear and loose PJS. I bought the fridamom bit shorts and loved them as disposable and gave me support with out too much restriction. Honestly my c section was a breeze was out for dinner 2 days after. Sore if I quickly stood up but not much pain didnt need any pain meds after the op either. Go in with a good mindset and you’ll be fine. X
High waisted knickers! I’ve found the primark ones the most comfortable also highly recommend the always discreet pants as they sit above the scar and more comfy than pads. Keep on top of pain relief and take it before any pain sets in round the clock as directed and move about as much as you can
Frida disposable pants were a god send! Lived on them for about a month as everything else just hurt. Once at 6 weeks and scar has healed well, use caster oil and heat on the scar for about 20 mins every other day and this helps the inside heal and regain sensation. I had a lot of numbness after and it really impacted me. I was advised caster oil and tried but not thinking it would make that much difference...I was wrong and I have so much more sensation after just a few weeks!
Thank you so much everyone!! ☺️all of these are so helpful and made me feel more at ease about it xx
Living this right now! It bloody hurt when I forgot or left pain meds too late so definitely keep on top of those and take the stronger stuff at first if you need it - I certainly did! Try and take it steady (funny joke I know) - it took a week for me to feel a bit more normal and stop pain medication. Take your time getting up out of bed or standing and don’t push yourself to clean up or anything - it can wait! I’m 2 weeks PP now and I feel almost back to normal - heading out for walks with dog and bambino and out for lunch etc. You’ll be fine ❤️ xx
Big pants!!
Full briefs get a size up so they’re roomy and not tight. Also a soft sponge for washing after and baggy trousers. Hospital should give you ibuprofen and paracetamol to take home for pain but take your time do not rush yourself move at your own pace and comfort level. I was walking around and doing stuff 2 days later. You got this! xx
The most important thing in my opinion is a supportive partner / family around so you can get some rest. Outside of that loose pants / dresses because you aren’t going to want to wear anything tight on your body.
